We are looking for a Registered Dietitian to work with our Dialysis Department to help us continue in our mission to serve our community with Kindness, Passion, Courage, and Teamwork
Position Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will perform the duties expected of a Registered Dietitian within the Dialysis Department
The Dietitian is responsible for providing nutrition counseling for dialysis patients, which includes making recommendations based on their current condition.
Duties Include:
- Work with multi-disciplinary team to plan care for hemodialysis patient
- Visit with all patients to monitor and evaluate outcomes and implement changes as needed.
- Follow-up after monthly labs for each dialysis patient and/or their caregivers, to monitor weight, intake, nutritional-status while reviewing nutrition-related labs, and make changes to nutrition care plan as needed.
- Complete assessment, recommendation, and implementation of Nutrition Care for Hemodialysis patients
- Maintain supply of Abbott sample liquid Nutritional Supplements
Qualifications:
- Registered as a member of the College of Dietitians of Ontario
- Membership with the Dietitians of Canada would be an asset
- Experience in nutritional assessment, required
- Recent education of patients with renal disease, asset
- Experience working in outpatient hemodialysis unit is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to provide care, counseling and education
- Self-directed; demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Hiring Salary Range: $35.77 - $45.58
