We are a dedicated team of professionals focused on providing the best care possible for our patients, families, and caregivers. We work together to care for the whole person from hospital to home. We are looking for a OR Tech Aide to work with our Operating Room Department to help us continue in our mission to serve our community with Kindness, Passion, Courage, and Teamwork The OR Tech Aide is accountable and responsible for the provision and operation of the general and specialized duties of the Operating Room on a daily basis.
The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications:
• Previous hospital/Operating Room/SPD experience (an asset)
• Knowledge of Environmental Services within the Surgical Suite (an asset)
• Completion of Medical Device Reprocessing (asset)
• Completion of Operating Room Attendant course required, or willing to obtain within one year of hire.
• Organizational and flexible abilities
• Caring, respectful and pleasant manner in dealing with patients, families, visitors and staff
• Willingness to undertake duties in a friendly, cooperative manner
• Team player with an ability to work unsupervised, prioritize and multi task
• Knowledge of disinfecting and cleaning methods
• Demonstrated evidence of adherence to standards of practice in aseptic techniques
• Demonstrated evidence of accuracy and organization of the work assigned
• Medical knowledge (an asset)
• Appropriate lifting techniques
