We are looking for a Flow Project Coordinator to help us continue in our mission to serve our community with Kindness, Accountability, Respect, and Teamwork

Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director, Medicine Programs, the Emergency Department Flow Project Coordinator will be responsible for the successful coordination and implementation of projects and initiatives as identified by the Emergency department teams, in alignment with the strategic directions of the organization.

Duties Include:
The Emergency Department Flow Project Coordinator performs a wide range of duties including some of the following:
  • Working directly with leadership and Emergency Department staff to ensure project objectives are successfully implemented.
  • Daily monitoring of Pay for Performance data and sharing feedback with the teams and stakeholders.
  • Implement new and creative strategies for improving the patient flow and patient experience.
  • Develop and maintain a performance improvement team consisting of physicians, nurses, leadership, and support staff in the emergency department.
  • Create detailed work plans which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the projects.
  • Align and track the resources required to complete the projects.
  • Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities.
  • Ensure objectives and measures upon which the projects will be evaluated at its completion align with identified goals.
  • Ensure that files are properly maintained.
  • Set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured.
  • Monitor the progress of the project and adjust as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project.
  • Ensure that the project deliverables are on time at the required level of quality.
  • Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase.
  • Participates in patient safety initiatives and takes action to address unsafe conditions and procedures to ensure a healthy and safe environment.

Qualifications:
  
Education & Experience
  • Completion of a bachelor’s degree program (a degree in a health care discipline is preferred).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or PMP in progress preferred.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in an emergency department in a health care setting would be advantageous.
  • Ability to use conflict resolution tools and techniques.
  • Demonstrable understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques
  • Experience in workflow process mapping is an asset.
  • An equivalent combination of education, skills and experience would be considered.
 
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to translate operational goals to front line staff in a meaningful way, anticipate and identify risks/issues and work with clinical leads and leadership to implement solutions.
  • Project mapping, timeline accountability, gathering information and concise record keeping.
  • Demonstrated skills in conflict resolution, coaching, mentoring, facilitation, and team building.
  • Guidance and leadership in change management
  • Ability to prioritize work tasks, meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Hiring Salary Range: Compensation is commensurate with experience. 
 
Position Length: This position will end approx. April 30, 2025
