We are looking for a Registered Nurse to work with our Emergency Department to help us continue in our mission to serve our community with Kindness, Accountability, Respect, and Teamwork
Position Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will perform the duties expected of a Registered Nurse within Emergency Department
The Registered Nurse is accountable and responsible for the provision of general and specialized nursing duties and work assignments on a daily basis according to the standards of Nursing Practice of the College of Nurses of Ontario, and approved standards of care of the Corporation.
Qualifications:- Current certification in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- 1-2 years recent Emergency Room experience (preference will be given to those candidates with Emergency Department experience)
- CTAS Triage Certified preferred or to be completed within 6 months of hire
- Medical Directives certification to be completed within 6 months of hire
- ACLS certification and experience
- Coronary Care Level 1
- CPR certification
- Delegated Controlled Act – Defibrillation
- IV Therapy initiation and maintenance (Parenteral Therapy)
- Trauma Management course (TNCC) or equivalent preferred
- Critical Care or Emergency Room courses an asset
- Able to work independently under medical directives.
- Experience with pediatrics preferred
- PALS or ENPC course preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Demonstrated critical thinking decision making skills.
- Acceptable performance and attendance records
Hiring Salary Range: $40.24 - $57.68 **The duration of this temporary assignment is approximately 12 months Why Headwaters?
