We are looking for a Development Coordinator to work with our Foundation to help us continue in our mission to serve our community with Kindness, Accountability, Respect, and Teamwork.

Position Summary

An excellent entry-level position for a rewarding career in the field of health care philanthropy, the Development Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting all of the Foundation’s fundraising programs. This position involves gift entry and receipting, special event support, hospital family giving, tribute giving, annual giving, communications and stewardship. Reporting to the CEO, the Coordinator provides administrative, donor relations, fundraising and event support to strengthen fundraising initiatives, build donor engagement, and advance the mission of Headwaters Health Care Foundation.
 
 
Key Responsibilities:

Program Support
  • Front-line staff person welcoming visitors to the Foundation Office
  • Gift entry
  • Donation receipts and correspondence
  • Office administration
  • Special Events & Service Clubs
  • Support community partners hosting fundraising events to benefit the Foundation.
  • Provide promotional support and ensure timely donor recognition.
  • Submit timely proposals and follow up to service clubs
  • Hospital Family Giving
  • Assist with the promotion and administration of staff and physician giving programs.
  • Prepare communication materials and track participation and results.

Tribute Giving
  • Promote opportunities for gifts made in honour or memory of individuals or special occasions
 
Stewardship
  • Prepare thank-you letters, impact reports, and stewardship packages
  • Assist with donor appreciation activities and events to strengthen engagement and retention
 
Administrative & Database Support
  • Maintain accurate donor records.
  • Generate reports and assist with the analysis of giving program performance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
   
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in fundraising, communications, business, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in donor database systems and Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent word processing, spreadsheet proficiency
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a high-performing team
  • Willingness to work occasional weekends/evenings/early mornings
  • Acceptable performance and attendance record

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday with occasional weekends/evenings/early mornings

Hiring Salary Range: $48,000 - $52,000 annually
