We are looking for a Project Management Lead to work with our Planning and Performance Department to help us continue in our mission to serve our community with Kindness, Accountability, Respect, and Teamwork Position Summary and Accountabilities:As part of the Planning and Performance team, the Project Management Lead (PML) is responsible for the successful coordination and implementation of projects, organizational initiatives, operational change or quality improvements that ensure patient care services are delivered with high quality, safety and consistency. Working independently and under the direction of the Senior Strategy and Transformation Leader, the role leads and works in partnership with inter-disciplinary resources from across the organization to ensure project objectives are delivered on-time and on-budget according to defined scope, timeline, and cost parameters. The PML plans, schedules and controls all project activities to meet project objectives, applying technical, theoretical, and managerial skills to satisfy project requirements, while forming and guiding project teams for success and building positive professional relationships with stakeholders. The PML is accountable for multiple projects simultaneously, requiring leadership, efficient planning and prioritization skills. The PML works to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies while maintaining project rigour (e.g. documentation, risk management, executive reporting). Qualifications & Competencies:
Education & Experience - 4-year Undergraduate Degree specific to Business, Healthcare, or Project Management
- Certification in Project Management (e.g. CAPM, CSSBB, CSSGB, PMP) an asset
- 2-3 years of experience implementing project management (methodologies, tools, techniques), other initiatives, or process improvements (in a hospital setting preferred)
- Training or certification in conflict resolution tools and techniques or change management an asset
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Strong experience building, maintaining and inspiring effective teams and working relationships
- Ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Excellent time management skills to manage multiple projects and address competing demands based on priority
- Demonstrated communication skills, written and oral, to succinctly convey saliant messages to a wide range of internal or external audiences
- Demonstrated knowledge of effective teaching and training methodologies
- Understanding of budgets and fiscal responsibility
- Demonstrated skills in conflict resolution, coaching, mentoring, facilitation, and team building
- Drive change through planning and implementation, engaging stakeholders at all levels and pivoting as needed to address risks, resistance, and evolving organizational priorities
- Independent decision-making abilities
- Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills
